I was at a party last weekend and whenever there was a beat, the strobe light flashed. What type of controllers are DJ’s using to coordinate this light show?

How do you go about making a radio programme, then selling it to a radio company? (Like BBC Radio 4 Radio Scotland, or the World Service)
I just wondered because I am an avid radio listener and wondered how it all came about.

Production companies make them on behalf of BBC radio…or sometimes they are made "in house". If you have an idea for a show, you can approach producers directly and they then approach the channel on your behalf…if they like the idea that is! Writers also contribute to shows that are up and coming as freelancers…so I submit comedy sketches to certain BBC Radio 4 shows and then the producer of that show decides if he likes my stuff…if he does then he puts it in front of a live studio audience…if they laugh then it goes on air and I get paid!
